ABOUT THIS PAINTING
Growth doesn’t always feel graceful while it’s happening. It’s awkward and uncertain, full of starts and stops. But looking back, there’s something beautiful in how we move through it.
I painted this during a period of change, when I was learning to be gentler with myself. The soft washes and delicate marks reflect that shift. There’s still energy here, colour and movement, but it feels quieter. Less forced.
This piece reminded me that being graceful doesn’t mean getting it right. It means moving through growth with kindness toward ourselves, even when we stumble.
