ABOUT THIS PAINTING
There’s something liberating about letting go of perfect sense and following pure whimsy instead. Mad Whimsy is about embracing the chaos, the playful absurdity of letting my mind wander into strange territory.
I painted this with the energy of the Mad Hatter’s tea party, where nothing makes sense but somehow everything fits. The marks are spontaneous and unpredictable, layered with a kind of joyful disorder.
There’s freedom in letting myself be a little wild. In giving myself permission to create without logic, to follow whims that don’t need to be explained. The world asks us to be so reasonable all the time. Sometimes the most honest thing I can do is lean into the beautiful, messy chaos of my own imagination.
