All that chaos disguised as civility, the absurdity of maintaining social rituals in a world that makes no sense. Tea Party captures that energy.
I created this with a sense of delightful disorder. The marks are loose and gestural, like a conversation that keeps changing direction. The layers feel like they’re talking over each other, interrupting and overlapping the way the Mad Hatter and March Hare do.
This piece celebrates the beautiful mess of letting go of convention. Of showing up as myself, messy edges and all.
